2022: Appointment as Head of Sberbank in Kazakhstan
On July 11, 2022, it was announced the appointment of Nursultan Taskaranov as the new chairman of the board of the Kazakhstan representative office of Sberbank. Prior to that, he served as deputy head of this credit organization.
As noted in the press service of DB Sberbank JSC, Nursultan Taskaranov by July 2022 has 20 years of experience in the banking system.
On July 11, 2022, Sberbank Kazakhstan also announced the expansion of the bank's board "in order to strengthen management efficiency." The following are also appointed to the positions of Deputy Chairman of the Board:
- Magomed Gulaev - will be responsible for the work of the retail block of the bank;
- Anastasia Ovsyannikova - her duties will include overseeing the financial and operational blocks;
- Vladimir Savchenko - in the new post will oversee the legal and administrative-economic blocks, as well as work with problematic assets;
Georgy Arakelyan and Alexander Titov will continue to work on the board.

On June 23, 2022, the head of the agency for regulation and development of the financial market of Kazakhstan, Madina Abylkasymova, announced that Sberbank was negotiating the sale of its subsidiary in Kazakhstan with the state holding Baiterek.
First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia Alexander Vedyakhin confirmed this information and also noted that Sberbank will expand its presence in Asian countries.[1]
