Biography

From 2013 to 2017 worked as the head on sales of solutions of a business intelligence of IBM in Russia and the CIS.

From 2017 to 2020 - the director of the department of promotion of software of IBM in Russia and the CIS.

2020: Appointment to the post of the CEO of SAS Russia/CIS

On January 15, 2020 the SAS company announced TAdviser that Alexander Tikhonov is appointed to a post of the CEO of SAS Russia/CIS. In this position he will be responsible for development and strategy implementation on further business development of the company in the market of Russia and the CIS and also for building of long-term customer relations on the basis of corporate values of SAS and the principles of customer focus.

Alexander Tikhonov has more than 20 years' experience in sales and management. Until recently he worked in IBM where was responsible for sales of the software in Russia and the CIS countries and directed the command comparable by the sizes from SAS Russia. Alexander has experience of an output of products to regions and the different industries with the subsequent increasing presence, experience of creation of successful commands, development and implementation of business strategy.

Alexander has an impressive list of achievements and successful projects. He is able to see how technologies are approved with investment plans and business objectives of customers. We are sure that his knowledge and experience will help with further strengthening of positions of SAS company in the markets of Russia and the CIS and that is even more important, will promote progress of our clients, speaks Riad Gaydyen, the senior vice president of SAS for EMEA region

The last 8 and a half years the post of the CEO of SAS in Russia was held by Valery Pankratov. At the beginning of January, 2020 weeks he left the company. This solution was carefully considered and it is accepted it in 2019, but required organizational preparation – transfer of affairs to the appointed head and end of a number of important transactions.
