It is reported that Tokarenko created a malware and with its help from his home in Alicante infected the computers of banking institutions in different countries. This allowed him to remotely manage ATMs and steal money.

The decision of the judicial board of Spain specifies that Tokarenko acted from Spain and had three accomplices who were outside the kingdom. Fraudsters shared the funds received, part of the money was also used to pay for the work of third parties.

According to the National Court of Justice, the investigation of this case began with the appeal of the Belgian side. The kingdom authorities informed about the existence of an organization engaged in fraud and embezzlement of money from banking institutions in different countries. As it was established, hackers sent bank workers emails allegedly from legal companies with which they worked. When they opened messages, a virus entered their computers that allowed them to remotely manage bank accounts and ATMs.

The girl of the hacker, a citizen of Ukraine Yulia Glushenkova, escaped with six months in prison and a fine of 300 thousand euros. Several of their accomplices operating in other countries could not be identified.[1]
