Biography

2016: First Deputy Chairman of the Board of VEB

In 2016, following Deputy German GrefaSergey Gorkov, appointed the new head of Vnesheconombank in February 2016, Tsekhomsky moved to VEB as an adviser. Subsequently, Tsekhomsky was appointed first deputy chairman of the board.

At Vnesheconombank, Tsekhomsky oversees the Finance and Development block, which includes more than ten divisions, including economics and finance, risks, the treasury, the direction of international capital markets and work with investors. On July 14, 2016, under his leadership, VEB held a record placement of bonds denominated in US dollars with settlements in rubles. Demand for bonds amounted to more than $1 billion, in connection with which it was decided to double the volume of the issue - from $300 million to $600 million.

With the participation of Nikolai Tsekhomsky, an agreement was signed on the supply of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to Europe, which Vnesheconombank will finance. Russian aircraft will be transferred to the Irish airline CityJet to update the outdated fleet.
