Biography
Anton Eduardovich Vaino was born on February 17, 1972 in Tallinn (the Estonian SSR, the USSR).
In 1996 the MFA of Russia, faculty of the international relations graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
- 1996-2001 worked in Embassy of Russia in Japan (Tokyo), then — in the Second Department of Asia the MFA of Russia
- 2002-2004 held different positions in Russian President's Protocol Office
- 2004-2007 — the deputy chief of Legal organizational management of the President of the Russian Federation
- 2007 first Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Protocol
- From October, 2007 to April, 2008 the Deputy Chief of the Russian Government Staff
- On April 25, 2008 it is appointed the Chief of the Russian Prime Minister's Protocol — the deputy manager of Government Office
- Since December, 2011 - the chief of staff of the Government of the Russian Federation.
Since January, 2012 the head of the government commission on information technology implementation in activity of state bodies and local government authorities.
Duties (since January, 2012)
Provides interdepartmental approval and according to instructions of the Russian Prime Minister gives instructions to federal executive authorities on questions:
- development of a monitoring system of efficiency and effectiveness of activity of federal executive authorities and executive authorities of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation;
- increases in performance excellence of powers of federal executive authorities and executive authorities of territorial subjects of the Russian Federation, carrying out administrative reform;
- public service;
- developments and implementations of state policy in the field of mass communications and mass media;
- organizations of lawmaking activity;
- the organizations of work planning of the Government of the Russian Federation and control of execution by federal executive authorities of the decisions made by the Government of the Russian Federation;
- state policy in the field of justice, interaction with bodies of judicial authority and bodies of prosecutor's office;
- state statistical activity;
- organizations of preparation of drafts of decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation and orders of the Russian Prime Minister.
- Since May 22, 2012 - the Deputy Chief of the Russian President's Executive Office.
- In August, 2016 the President of Russia Vladimir Putin appointed Anton Vaino the Kremlin Chief of Staff.
