Biography
Evgeny Sergeevich Vasiliev was born on July 30, 1973 in Leningrad. In 1996 he graduated with honors from St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University with a degree in Systems Engineer. In 1996, he also received an MVA degree from the LETI-Lovanium business school.
After graduation, he worked at PeterStar CJSC, where he went from a specialist in PABX equipment to the head of the planning and development department. In 2000, he took the position of Deputy Director of the Fixed Communications Division of Telecominvest OJSC. In 2002, he became Director of Development of GROS LLC. Since August 2003 - General Director of CJSC Neva Line. Since September 2004 - General Director of St. Petersburg Transit Telecom CJSC. In May 2006, he was appointed deputy director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Russia, and from June 2006 to June 2008 he headed the DICT of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Russia.
In September 2008, he was appointed General Director of PeterStar CJSC. Since June 2010, after combining this position with the position of the First Deputy Director of the North-West Branch of MegaFon OJSC on fixed communications.
In December 2010, the PromSvyazKapital group announced the appointment of Yevgeny Vasiliev to the post of General Director of Interregional Transit Telecom OJSC (MTT) from January 1, 2011.
