2023: Appointment as CEO of Nestle's Russian office
In January 2023, Denis Voityuk, who previously worked for the company as sales director, was appointed the new CEO of the Russian representative office of Nestle. He took over from Marcial Rolland, who has led the company since 2017. Prior to that, Rolland also ran the French division of Nestle.
The fact that on January 17, 2023, Denis Voityuk became the general director of the Russian subsidiary Nestle, writes Kommersant, citing data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL). The press service of Nestle Russia called the change of CEO "part of the regular personnel cycle." They explained that Rolland would soon retire.
Thus, the company "Nestle Russia" changed the foreign leader to the Russian one. The appointment of a local CEO in some cases may be due to the desire to make the Russian division more separate, even if there are no plans to sell or separate it now, says Stanislav Alekseev, managing partner of Transearch International. According to him, it is difficult to find a replacement among foreign specialists, since in the current conditions they "do not seek to work in Russia."
Galina Spasenova, partner of Kontakt InterSearch Russia, explained in a conversation with the publication that they prefer to look for replacements within companies, and in a business where a foreigner holds a senior position, there is almost always a successor.
Nestle is one of the world's largest producers of food, drink and pet food. The portfolio of brands includes KitKat, Maggi, Nescafe, Nesquick, NAN, Gerber, Perrier, Purina. In Russia, he manages seven factories where he produces coffee, confectionery, baby food, etc. (by January 2023).[1]
