Education

In 1986 he graduated from the Smolensk State Medical Institute, in 2002 - the Oryol Regional Academy of Public Service.

Biography

1997-2003

He began his career in 1977 as a paramedic in the Glinishchev district hospital. Then he worked as a surgeon in the Bryansk City Hospital No. 4 (1986-1988), head of the surgical department of the outpatient clinical association No. 4 (1988-1989), chief physician of the Bryansk Central District Hospital (1989-2003)

2022: Detention on charges of receiving a bribe of 1.65 million rubles

In February 2022, it became known about the detention of the chief doctor of the Bryansk City Hospital No. 1 Konstantin Vorontsov. He is accused of receiving a bribe in the supply of medical products.

According to the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Bryansk Region, from April 2016 to December 2021, the head physician, together with the head of the pharmacy hospital, received a bribe of at least 1.65 million rubles from the entrepreneur for concluding contracts with him and others for the purchase of medical goods for the needs of the institution.

The crime was revealed by operational employees of the UEBiPK U MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS Russia in the Bryansk region together with employees of the regional U FSB of Russia. The head physician was detained, he was charged under the article "Receiving a bribe on an especially large scale by a group of persons by prior conspiracy" (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), a man could face from 8 to 15 years in prison. The role of the head of the pharmacy in the criminal case under investigation is not reported.
