Biography

Born July 12, 1963 in the village of Nemets-Rodo, then the Mari Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

In 1984 he graduated from the Volsk Higher Military School of Logistics.

In 1996 he graduated from the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport.

In 2006 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

1996: Military service

In 1996, he was appointed deputy commander of the missile division logistics unit.

From 1997 to 2004 - head of the logistics base of the missile division, deputy commander of the missile division for the rear.

From 2006 to 2013, he served in various positions, from chief of staff - deputy chief of logistics of the missile army to head of the resource support department of the Western Military District.

In May 2013, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Colonel Stepan Vorontsov was appointed deputy commander of the Baltic Fleet for Logistics (MTO) with the assignment of the military rank of "Major General."

On November 20, 2017, by decree of the Head of Mari El, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Mari E.
