2024: Appointment as General Director of Sakhalinenergo
In early June 2024, the first deputy general director of the company, chief engineer Pavel Yakovlev, was appointed the new head of Sakhalinenergo.
He replaced Sergei Irtov, who headed Sakhalinenergo for two years. The press service of Sakhalinenergo told Interfax that Irtov's departure was connected with his appointment as general director of Far Eastern Generating Company JSC.
The employment contract with the general director of PJSC Sakhalinenergo Sergey Irtov was terminated on May 31, 2024 by agreement of the parties. He headed the company since September 26, 2022, said Interfax.
As of the beginning of June 2024, Sakhalinenergo operates the two largest power plants in the Sakhalin Region - the Sakhalin GRES-2 and the Yuzhno-Sakhalin TETs-1, as well as electric and heating networks, and is the main power supply enterprise in the region. It provides centralized power supply to 13 of the 18 municipalities of the region, as well as heat supply to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk[1]
