2021: Investing in Edtech startup Byju's

2020: first entry into Forbes billionaire rating

In early April 2020, Eric Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom Video Communications, a video conferencing solution developer, first entered the Forbes billionaire rating. Yuan's fortune is estimated at $5.5 billion. According to this indicator, he took 293rd place.

In total, the list published on the website of Forbes magazine is 2095 billionaires. The first place in the ranking published annually for the third time in a row was taken by Jeff Bezos - the founder and head of the Internet company Amazon. His fortune is estimated at $113 billion. On the second place - one of founders of MicrosoftBill Bill Gates, with a condition of $98 billion, on the third place - Bernard Arnault, the chairman of the board and the executive director of LVMH Moet Hennessy, Louis Vuitton - the French group which possesses more than 75 brands, including Christian Dior, Hennessy, Givenchy, Kenzo, Bulgari, Tiffany & Co. and others (the fortune is estimated in $76 billion).

Eric Yuan has been dealing with solutions for video conferencings since his move from China USA to in 1997. Initially, he worked in, WebEx before it was acquired in 2007. Cisco After which he took the chair of vice president at the parent company. In 2011, Yuan left Cisco to create his own business.

In addition to Yuan, another 177 newcomers were included in the Forbes 2020 rating. The total condition of 2095 billionaires from the rating is estimated at $8 trillion. This is $700 billion less than a year earlier (compared to last year, the state decreased in 51% of participants)[1].
