Since 2005, she worked in the Belgorod Department of Pregnancy Pathology of the Perinatal Center of the Regional Clinical Hospital of St. Joasaph.

Since 2021, she has been the head of the obstetric observational department of the perinatal center. The total experience in health care is 18 years. Before being appointed to the post, she underwent an internship at the Ministry of Health of Russia.

2024: Appointment as Head of the Department of Health of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug

In January 2024, Yulia Kobeleva was appointed head of the Health Department of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. She replaced Elena Drozdova, who headed the department since July 2022. The reasons for Drozdova's resignation and her new place of work are not named.

Kobeleva, commenting on her appointment to the post of head of the Chukchi Department of Health, said that the main task in the new post is to "achieve the goals set by the president - reduce mortality and increase life expectancy."
