2022: Deportation to Russia
In December 2022, it became known about the upcoming deportation of Yuri Martyshev, who was convicted of cybercrime in the United States. This was told by his lawyer Alexei Tarasov.
We expect Yuri Martyshev to be released from custody on December 20. Then he will be transferred to the immigration service for further consideration (his case), and ultimately he will be deported back to Russia, "Tarasov said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
According to the lawyer, the Russian is waiting for the opportunity to return to his homeland, and his defense is in contact with the migration authorities, seeking to accelerate this process. This procedure will be launched as soon as he is released from custody, Tarasov added.
