2020: Verdict on taking of a bribe and disclosure of the state secret
On September 22, 2020 the Supreme Court of Khakassia pronounced a sentence to the former head of department of fight against drug trafficking of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs Yury Zaytsev. He is found guilty of taking of a bribe and disclosure of the state secret. Punishment — eight years of standard regime penal colony.
According to the press service of GSU Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation across Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia, in December, 2018 Zaytsev entered into a correspondence to the operator of one of online stores on sale of drugs and promised to delay the person who stole a part of the prohibited substances which it had to leave as "tabs" at the interlocutor. Further the police officer promised to make the stranger responsible.
Also the convict reported to this person the classified information which is the state secret on the investigation and search operations conducted and planned to carrying out by police officers, terms of their carrying out, for the purpose of security of the participants of organized group performing illegal sale of drugs through online store, says the Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee (ICR) in Khakassia. |
According to the investigation, the operator paid Zaytsev a bribe in the amount of 52 thousand rubles, having transferred money in bitcoins. Afterwards service check according to the results of which the head of drug enforcement of Khakassia was dismissed was carried out. He tried to appeal against the discharge from work, but the court refused to it then concerning the police officer opened criminal case.
As the Zaytsev's wife, information that he got a bribe from the drug dealer said, arrived to investigators from the head of department of drug enforcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Khakassia Evgeny Lysykh — one of the high-ranking police officers whom Zaytsev suspected of drug traffic.[1]
