Biography

At the end of April 2022, it became known about the resignation of Stefan Zvegintsov from the post of general director of the Russian representative office of the Italian energy company Enel. At the same time, the top manager will continue to oversee the Russian division as part of the management of the parent group.

The fact that the employees of the company "Enel Russia" announced the resignation of Stefan Zvegintsov from the post of head, reported "Vedomosti." Zvegintsov himself told the employee that "it is increasingly difficult for foreigners to occupy leadership positions" in companies in Russia and the risks are "becoming more and more tangible." The top manager emphasized that parting with the company is painful for him, but this is a decision of shareholders, the publication says.

One of the newspaper's sources said that the top manager has French citizenship, which is unfriendly for Russia after the West introduced anti-Russian sanctions. Moreover, this person does not know anything about the departure of the manager. It is known that for three years Zvegintsov headed the business development division of Enel in France.

The place of Zvegintsov from the beginning of May 2022 will be taken by the director of legal affairs and corporate relations of the company Zhanna Sedova.

By the end of April 2022, Enel Group owns 56.43% of Enel Russia. The company owns three 5.6 GW gas power plants in the Russian Federation (Konakovskaya, Nevinnomysskaya and Sredneuralskaya), as well as the 90 MW Azov wind farm. In addition, Enel Russia is building a 201 MW Kola wind farm. The company refused the Rodnikovskaya WES project.[1]
