Ensuring the safety of more than 2.5 thousand government and commercial facilities

AAM Systems is a system integrator, supplier of equipment and developer software for technical safety systems. The equipment supplied by the company and managed by the APACS software complex only Russia in provides security as of June 2011 for more than 2.5 thousand state and commercial facilities, including 6 national banks, 45 facilities CENTRAL BANK OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION and Sberbank, Domodedovo airport, oil and energy complex facilities, factories and factories, representative offices of foreign companies, etc.

APACS 3000 v 6.2

On April 25, 2011, a new version of the APACS 3000 v 6.2 software package was released. In this release, the video subsystem was significantly improved, to the functionality of which the following were added:

  • A new Video View client application
  • new capabilities of APACS 3000 NVR video servers.

In the new version appeared:

  • Document recognition module for the File Cabinet
  • Automatic execution of URV and Report Generator reports
  • Simplified card issuance using templates
  • support for quick entry of smart card numbers.

New opportunities have been developed for geographically distributed organizations. APACS 3000 v6.2 introduces a new subsystem: cardholder replication.

New Video View Client Application

In version v6.2, the video subsystem of the APACS 3000 PC was significantly improved. A new specialized client application "Video Viewing" has appeared. The new user interface allows you to place cameras in the usual video folders: 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5 cameras, 12 cameras, there is the ability to drag the cameras with a mouse inside the video folder and from the list of active cameras, hotspot support, the ability to open the image from the camera to the entire window, digital zoom.

For prompt response to suspicious situations, quick search functions in the archive are provided. If the operator noticed something suspicious, he can right in the cell of the camera view what happened 30 seconds, 10 minutes, an hour ago on this camera.

The subsystem allows you to flexibly configure the rights of the video surveillance operator to perform certain functions in the video subsystem, for example, prohibit dragging cameras or adding new cameras to the video folder.

New Capabilities for APACS 3000 NVR Video Servers

In addition to the video surveillance operator user interface, the implementation of APACS 3000 NVR video servers has been improved.

The new version has developed a software motion detector with the ability to record on it, and you can independently adjust the sensitivity of the detector using a convenient activity indicator. There are pre-recording and post-recording functions for a video source, a ring recording function for cameras, the ability to limit the maximum video volume for a specific source. Added the ability to customize the path to the archive for each camera, which is especially required when writing to different disks.

As of version 6.2, video archive recordings can be exported to any video formats installed on Windows, such as DivX, MPEG, etc.

Document Recognition Module

Automatic recognition of documents such as a passport and driver's license allows you to significantly speed up the entry of data about visitors and employees.

The new version integrates the Cognitive document recognition subsystem into the APACS 3000 PC Card Cabinet. The following types of documents are supported: Russian passport, old and new passport of the Russian Federation, old driver's license.

The data from the recognized document can be used to add a new cardholder to the Card Cabinet, or to remove information about existing employees/visitors from the database. If necessary, the system allows you to manually correct the recognition results to add a new user. As a document scanner, both a specialized passport scanner and a wide list of conventional scanners can be used.

Automatic report execution

If you use Time & Attendance in your enterprise, you have the task of periodically generating time reports. As a rule, such reports are built at least once a month. In order to automate this process, an automatic reporting engine has been developed.

The subsystem allows you to automatically, without the participation of the operator, build reports, and send results by e-mail or save to the hard disk to the specified directory.

All types of Time & Attendance and Report Generator reports are supported. If you specify parameters for the automatic execution of reports, you can specify the relative time interval for which the report should be built (for example, for the last month). Several report formats are supported: csv - for further import and processing in Excel and html - for viewing and printing.

This subsystem is available in the Pro modification.

Simplified Card Issuance Using Templates

Simplified card issuance will be especially useful in organizations where you constantly have to issue new cards with the same access settings, and the validity of these cards should be limited in time. For example, guest cards for visitors valid for one day.

In order to organize a simplified card issue, you need to create a template in which you specify the access groups for the card and the activation/deactivation dates (and the dates can be relative) and describe the rules for applying the template. After that, the system itself will automatically enter the correct access groups and the activation/deactivation date when issuing cards to all visitors.

The conditions for setting access rights can be any reference fields of the cardholder: company, department, position, category, etc., as well as all additional fields.

Support for quick entry of smart card numbers

Manually entering card numbers requires the operator's attention and takes a certain time. It is much easier to present a card on the reader and see its number in the input field. This mechanism was previously supported in APACS 3000 for Proximity cards. Starting with version 6.2, a simplified entry of smart card numbers appeared.

To enter smart card numbers, the HID OMNIKey reader is used, which supports the iClass, Mifire formats. The reader connects to the USB port of the computer on which the APACS 3000 PC client application is installed, for example, a card cabinet. When a smart card is presented, its number automatically appears in the input field.

Cardholder replication subsystem

The new cardholder replication subsystem is designed to automatically synchronize some cardholder group data between different independent branch offices under the APACS 3000 PC.

This opportunity is in demand when the enterprise has several geographically remote branches, buildings or industrial facilities, and a number of employees must have access to several branches at once.

The system replicates employee data, their maps, photos, reference book data. If the connection between the stores is lost, the system accumulates the changes made during this time and sends them out when the connection is restored.

If necessary, there is a function of manual "resynchronization" of data.

Other features of the new version

In addition to the listed features, numerous user interface improvements were made, support for the hardware functions of APOLLO, VertX, Satel equipment was expanded, and the list of supported video cameras was updated. As of Release 6.2, APACS 3000 supports MS SQL 2008 R2.

Cognitive Passport is integrated into the APACS 3000 security management software suite

Cognitive Passport is built into the APACS 3000 software package - the advanced development of AAM Systems in the field of integrated security systems, access control systems and IP-video surveillance systems. Cognitive Passport was integrated as a separate module in APACS 3000 to recognize authentication documents. It provides recognition of such certification documents as a Russian passport, an old and new passport of the Russian Federation, an old driver's license. The data from the recognized document can be used to add a new cardholder to the file cabinet. If necessary, the system allows you to make manual corrections to the recognition results. As a document scanner, both a specialized passport scanner and a wide list of conventional scanners can be used.

Cognitive Passport features such as extracting a photo and signature of its owner from a scan of a document, as well as high quality text recognition allow you to issue a pass 6-8 times faster than manually entering data about an employee or visitor, while the number of input errors is reduced by 15-20 times.
