Version 1.1 with support for integration with organization user directories
Angara Security on May 12, 2025 announced the release of an updated version of the Blazar Network Access Control (Blazar NAC). Version 1.1 includes a number of important changes to improve usability, improve data protection, and simplify administration processes.
The system interface, thanks to the complete redesign, has become more intuitive and user-friendly. To improve security, support has been introduced for integration with organization user directories, which allows administrators to log on using corporate domain accounts. This significantly increases the level of security of the infrastructure and facilitates system management.
The updated version of Blazar NAC now offers tools for automatic profiling of connected devices based on various sources identifications (RADIUS requests, OUI code, DHCP fingerprint), allowing you to get accurate data about the types and characteristics of the devices used.
Access policy administration processes have also been significantly improved. The added mechanism allows you to configure a single set of authentication and authorization rules, which are subsequently applied to the entire enterprise infrastructure. Administrators can quickly change the order in which policies are processed, making it easier to configure network access rules. Another important change was the ability to export data from the main sections of the system. This option makes it possible to easily further analyze and process information outside the system itself using third-party analytical tools.
The updated version of Blazar NAC reaffirms our commitment to creating effective information security solutions. We are actively developing the product, having all the necessary resources and competencies to implement functions and improve existing capabilities, - said Aleksandr Chernykh, Director of the Angara Security Development Center. |
Inclusion in the register of Russian software
Angara Security announced on February 14, 2025 that the Blazar Network Access Control System is included in the Register of Russian Software. Register entry No. 26417 was made on the basis of an order of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation dated 12.02.2025. The relevant information is posted on the agency's website.
Blazar NAC is a system of the Network Access Control class, which is designed to solve a number of tasks related to managing access to network resources of the organization. The product provides a set of tools to solve them and has the following key capabilities:
- Centralized access policy management for all connected devices
- Dynamic access control based on the current state of the device and its compliance with internal security standards
- Monitor and audit network events to identify attempts at illegitimate connections
In accordance with the classifier approved by order Ministry of Digital Development Russia of 22.09.2020 No. 486, Blazar NAC is classified as a class of means of protection against unauthorized access to information. "
{{quote 'Blazar NAC provides one of the key security features of today's IT infrastructure and is a critical element of a comprehensive anti-intrusion strategy. This is especially true in the face of a constant increase in the number of different devices. Passed checks and subsequent entry into the register confirms the reliability of Blazar NAC and that the system is fully suitable for use under the import substitution policy, - said Alexander Chernykh, Director of Angara Security Development Center.}}
