2024: Launch of the data center in the Zhigulevskaya Dolina technopark

Reg.ru will put into commercial operation in July 2024 a third availability zone in addition to the existing sites in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The demand for digitalization, including in government agencies, encourages customers in the Volga region to actively use clouds as the most flexible and economical model of resource consumption. But this demand is not fully met due to the lack of direct connectivity data centers in the region. Thanks to it, a fast and reliable connection is provided, a quick response of services placed in the cloud.

The technological expansion of the Reg.ru is designed to narrow this gap in the quality of services between users of the Volga region and the two capitals. In addition, the emergence of a third availability zone will help organize an additional level of disaster tolerance for the cloud platform Reg.ru and create the basis for disaster recovery of customer projects. provider

The cloud data center is Reg.ru based on the engineering and network infrastructure corresponding to the Tier III Certification of Constructed Data Center Facility. The computing components use high-performance AMD EPYC servers, a disk subsystem with non-volatile memory (NVMe), channels with a bandwidth of 40 Gbps for internal connectivity. At the first stage, it is planned to provide only IaaS services in the new data center, in the future Reg.ru will launch services such as DBaaS and KaaS on the basis of the cloud platform.

Despite the fact that we launched the cloud less than a year ago, the results are already impressive. Updating and expanding the hardware and software base of the Рег.ру cloud platform is what we will pay the closest attention to. As of May 2024, we have a network of four Tier III data centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg, including our own Technopolice data center.
