F4 SSD All-Flash Silent Home Data Center

TerraMaster unveiled the F4 SSD All-Flash Silent Home Data Center on June 24, 2025.

The F4 SSD is equipped with a standard port that Ethernet 5G provides data 500% faster transfer rates compared to traditional gigabit networks. It easily copes with high loads, such as streaming video in format 4K and large photo libraries. Regardless of whether we are talking about simultaneous access from several devices, transferring large or files remote connections, the F4 SSD provides continuous operation without delay, eliminating congestion on the home network.

With the TNAS Mobile app, users can configure the F4 SSD directly without using a PC. Photos and videos taken on mobile devices are automatically backed up and instantly downloaded via Wi-Fi or mobile networks, freeing up the phone's memory. The built-in AI-based photo album system automatically recognizes faces and pets, organizing thousands of photos for easy access to family memories.

The F4 SSD eliminates the need for traditional cloud storage with local hardware encryption and account isolation technology, supporting more than 20 independent accounts to share device access with complete data isolation.

Compatibility with uPnP/DLNA protocols enables seamless streaming to TVs, tablets, and other devices for the cinematic audiovisual experience.

Equipped with TerraMaster's Multimedia Server application and supports media servers such as Plex, Emby and Jellyfin.

Through the TNAS.online cloud platform, users can access data anytime, anywhere, even while on the road.

Automatically optimizes disk space usage, supports disk failure redundancy, and online expansion.

The CloudSync feature supports Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3, Dropbox and other major platforms, providing two-way data synchronization between NAS and the cloud.

Checks user permissions for all executables that access TNAS network resources or storage space. Integrated drawer installation Disassembling the case without tools, which makes installing an SSD and updating memory extremely simple.

Convection air flow from top to bottom and a silent fan provide noise levels in standby mode of only 19 dB.

Features:

  • Centrally back up photos and videos, share files, and synchronize content across multiple devices.
  • High-speed storage for RAW files, AI-based photo recognition and classification management.
  • Remote file access and secure data sharing by the command.
  • Set up a private cloud cinema and play Blu-ray originals online.

D4 SSD

On June 17, 2025, TerraMaster introduced the device - the D4 SSD, a four-disc all-flash DAS (direct connection) case designed for media readers, filmmakers and professionals who need speed and flexibility.

D4 SSD

According to the company, thanks to support for USB 4 with bandwidth up to 40 Gbps, the D4 SSD provides optimal performance and integrates with NAS systems, including the upcoming F4 SSD All-Flash NAS, providing rapid storage expansion for a variety of user tasks.

The D4 SSD is specially designed for media production and post-processing tasks and uses the USB 4 protocol with support for data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps. Installing four M.2 SSDs (e.g. Samsung 990PRO 4TB) and RAID 0 configuration with macOS Disk Utility achieves read/write speeds of up to 3224 MB/s. In single drive mode, the read speed can reach 1608 MB/s. Whether a single disk is used or multiple in parallel, the D4 SSD optimizes the execution time of tasks in post-processing. The device is fully compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4/5 and USB 4/3.2/3.1/3.0 interfaces, providing cross-platform compatibility for various use cases.

The D4 SSD supports up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs, each up to 8TB, which adds up to 32TB of total space. By default, the device works in single drive mode, but users can create RAID arrays using third-party software to improve performance or provide fault tolerance. The D4 SSD is also suitable for all-flash NAS expansion. For example, when combined with TerraMaster's F4 SSD, the device can double NAS storage, providing a scalable solution for demanding tasks such as 4K/8K video storage, virtualization, and enterprise backup.

D4 SSD

The D4 SSD uses M.2 NVMe SSDs, making the device compact, lightweight and easy to transport. An innovative active cooling system with vertical (top-down) air circulation, intelligent second-generation temperature-controlled fan and four high-precision temperature sensors provides stable cooling even at full load. In standby mode, the noise level is only 19 dB. The device supports a wide range of 12-20 V input voltage, which allows you to use standard power adapters from laptops, monitors and mini-PCs without the need for a separate power supply - convenient for mobile use and travel.

The D4 SSD supports automatic backup to Windows using TPC Backupper, and is also equipped with the exclusive TDAS Mobile mobile app (iOS and Android), which optimizes photo and video backups from mobile devices. macOS users can use the built-in Time Machine feature to create backups. These features make the D4 SSD a versatile solution for both professional and personal use - whether it's a boot disk for macOS, external storage for gamers or reliable media for content creators .

D4 SSD

The D4 SSD is suitable for various storage tasks:

  • Streamlines editing and post-processing workflows 4K/8K videos.
  • Used as remote storage or macOS boot disk.
  • Provides zero latency when launching large gaming projects, comparable to local SSDs.
