1C WMS. Management of a warehouse intends for warehouses of different types:

  • Wholesale or production good or small selection warehouses in which arrival and shipment of goods is performed by the whole pallets.
  • Small wholesale or retail average or good selection warehouses of the trading companies to whom the goods come and leaves in any units (pallets, packagings, pieces).
  • Warehouses of transport companies, work for whom is performed with the unique depersonalized loads.
  • Warehouses of safe custody. Any of the listed above warehouses can be a warehouse of safe custody.

Task of topology of a warehouse complex

The warehouse is, as a rule, separated into physical zones in which processing of goods submits to certain rules depending on construction of racks, the used equipment, a design of premises, etc.

Each warehouse consists of some (often rather big) number of premises in which the racks grouped in passes usually are established. In each rack there can be a certain number of levels (shelves). Each shelf can be physically or is virtually broken into the certain parts called by positions. Such section of a warehouse is considered final unit of storage of goods in a warehouse and is called a cell. The cell is understood as not a surely physical cell, in a system any possible storage location of goods can be a cell: pass, separate room. Each cell has the address to which it is identified. The different statuses depending on that can be given to a store cell, it is occupied with goods, empty, or blocked, etc.

Goods acceptance on a warehouse

Information on goods necessary for holding procedural actions for preparation of a warehouse for acceptance of delivery is entered in the document "Expected Acceptance". On the basis of this information in a warehouse involvement of additional employees for goods acceptance, preparation of warehouse spaces for placement of goods, both in an acceptance zone, and in the main storage area can be planned.

Suppliers (in case of arrival of goods from the supplier), clients (in case of return of goods from the client), other warehouses of the company (in case of movement between warehouses within one company), production sites (in case of receipt of finished goods from production) can be possible sources of goods.

The newcomer for a warehouse goods can be previously counted in places when unloading from the vehicle. For correct recalculation and identification of the arrived containers with goods, they are subject to marking by the labels containing identification numbers of containers. Labels on containers can be prepared in advance or printed in the course of recalculation using a data collection terminal and the mobile printer of printing of labels. This process in a system is made out by the document "Preliminary Acceptance". "Preliminary acceptance" can be executed on the basis of the plan – the document Expected Acceptance, or upon.

Placement of goods on a warehouse

After goods acceptance is subject to placement. The goods can be placed on a warehouse upon completion of recalculation of all delivery or on completion of acceptance of each container. In case of need the final cell receiver can not be planned, and placement to be made upon with the independent choice of a cell by the Storekeeper with the terminal. Rules of start of automatic floor planning are configured using the mechanism of events.

Rules of placement are configured at the level of the strategy of placement. Placement of goods in a warehouse is usually executed proceeding from the following principles:

  • ABC-classification of goods (the high-wrapped goods are located closer to a zone of a complete set of ready orders for selection acceleration);
  • Selection of zones for placement and storage on commodity groups, producers, bailors or other properties of goods;
  • Opportunity or prohibition of mixing of different goods or one goods with different analytical properties in one cell (different expiration dates, batches, serial numbers, quality, etc.) at placement;
  • Accounting of types of the racks used for storage of goods. For example, placement in narrow-passage racks through a buffer zone;
  • Accounting of the placed goods as selection (piece storage and storage of containers);
  • Verification of presence of enough goods in a selection zone at placement, replenishment of a zone of selection by the accepted goods (with unfolding accepted a pallet pokorobochno in cells of selection or placement a pallet entirely);
  • Accounting of specifics of goods (oversized goods, temperature features of storage, defects, etc.).

All listed principles can be configured in a system in the reference book "Strategy of Placement".

Selection and shipment of goods

Shipment of goods from a warehouse is performed on the basis of the plan of shipment loaded from a corporate information system. The plan of what should be shipped from a warehouse contains in the document "Order for Shipment". Shipment to the buyer (client), movement of other warehouses of the company, a supplier return, shipment of goods (raw materials and materials) to production can be the possible directions of shipment.

On the basis of information on the planned shipments holding procedural actions for preparation for faster complete set of this order is possible (for example, feed of cells of a fissile region). On the basis of the order for shipment of shipment all further operations with this order are made.

"Orders for shipment" can be united in runs on delivery routes. Data on runs of a route of a detour of vehicles to contain in the document "Run". Run can be created on the basis of the data obtained from the system of corporate accounting, a management system for delivery, or the Manager of a warehouse in WMS Logistics. Management of a warehouse.

Movement of goods in a warehouse

Process of internal transfer of the whole containers, goods between containers and cells in a system is made out using tasks on movement. For movement of the whole containers and the freight train of containers separate tasks are provided. Tasks on movements are used for a design of any movement of goods on a warehouse. Tasks on movement can automatically be created on an event in a warehouse or manually by the Manager of a warehouse.

Feed of a zone of selection

In need of replenishment of a zone of selection of goods in a system the task on feed is carried out. Feed is executed under requirement of "The order for shipment" or at any time according to regulations of a warehouse. Feed can be executed at achievement of the minimum quantity of containers (goods) to the maximum number of containers (goods) in the field of selection. The minimum and maximum level of a remaining balance are set for each goods.

Recalculation of goods

Several types of tasks on recalculation are provided in a system.

  • Inventory of a cell. When carrying out inventory of a cell all containers and goods located in a cell are subject to recalculation. At inventory of a cell recalculation both by the number of containers in a cell, and on the freight train of a container can be made.
  • Inventory of containers. When carrying out inventory of containers recalculation of structure of a certain container on which the task is created is made.
  • Inventory of goods. When carrying out inventory of goods recalculation of specific goods in all containers and cells in which these goods are located is made.
  • Acceptance control. The task of control of acceptance is intended for recalculation of the goods which are again accepted on a warehouse.
  • Shipping control. The task of shipping control is intended for recalculation of the goods shipped under the customer order from a warehouse.
  • Quality control. The task of quality control is intended for recalculation and check of a status of goods in a warehouse. Quality control can be carried out on any processing stage of goods: in an acceptance zone on the arrived goods, in the course of storage or shipment.

Task management in a warehouse

For a design in the system of operations on warehouse processing of goods it is used tasks. The task is any action with goods in a warehouse, for example, a task on movement of goods from one cell in another, a task on selection of goods from a cell or a task on recalculation. Tasks are divided into types depending on the warehouse transactions executed in a warehouse.

Tasks are created automatically according to schedules or events of a system and processed by means of the radio data collection terminals connected to a system. In exceptional cases tasks on execution of warehouse transaction can be created by the Manager of a system manually and are transferred for accomplishment to the terminal or on "paper" technology which can be used as reserve technology.

Efficiency analysis of work of a warehouse

Upon processing of warehouse transactions functionality of WMS Logistics. Management of a warehouse allows to execute:

  • Condition monitoring of orders and tasks to accomplishment;
  • The analysis of fullness of a warehouse by zones and store cells;
  • The analysis of a current status of a warehouse by address storage;
  • The plan-fact analysis expected to a goods receipt and upon accepted on a warehouse;
  • The plan-fact analysis of the ordered and shipped goods from a warehouse.
