2Test: Ethernet switches Profimodul

The industrial Ethernet switches of Profimodul differ in high capacity, flexibility of application and the compact sizes. These strong, reliable switches constructed on modularity provide the minimum recovery time of operability of network.

Copper ports have the PoE/PoE+ function that allows to cut down expenses on supply of attached devices with power supply and to avoid need of laying of additional cables. A power supply of the switch can be performed through PoE/PoE+.

For expansion of functionality of switches in the future there is enough updating of the built-in software. Similar approach became possible thanks to high-performance chipsets and powerful ARM processors. The module of the ascending communication line

The 10-gigabit module for the organization of the ascending lines expands functionality of the Profimodul switch and allows to build networks of 10 Gbps Ethernet. The module of the ascending communication line is connected via the expansion slot to a basic bank of switches. It is equipped with 2 ports uplink 10GBASE-X which represent slots for SFP+ transceivers, and 6 ports 10/100/1000BASE-T for connection of terminal units. Ports of the ascending communication line serve also for creation of ring topology and increase in availability of network.

High-performance switching chips and two 10-gigabit ports of the uplink channel do Profimodul by the industrial switch which is specially intended for industrial applications and applications in the field of security. Profimodul allows to increase volumes of transmitted data, for example, in video surveillance systems with high resolution, at the same time without prejudice to performance.

2018: Release of PT535019

Company 2Test in February, 2018 announced expansion of production of a line of the industrial modular Profimodul switches and release of the PT535019 Profimodul device.

In general PT535019 model represents the industrial switch of the Russian production — the simplified version of the PT535119 Ethernet switch released earlier. Light - the version of PT535019 is distinguished by the budget price that is connected with lack of the SWARM function (transfers of a power supply on Ethernet) and gigabit ports. Except the called differences, PT535019 devices on technical capabilities do not concede a complete complete set of the Profimodul switch, and as these options often are excess functionality, the simplified version becomes the industrial automation which was more and more demanded for application in systems.

Constructed based on the open Linux "PT535019 Profimodul" platform provides development of functionality for what it is necessary just to update a firmware.

"PT535019 Profimodul" is distinguished:

• High capacity at the compact sizes;
