2020: Announcement of stethoscopes 3M Littmann

In the middle of October, 2020 the companies 3M also Eko announced cooperation within which they provided new AI- a stethoscope 3M Littmann complemented with digital solutions of Eko. The model under the name Littmann Core will allow doctors to carry out with higher quality an auskultation of heart and lungs thanks to noise reduction functions and also visualization of a sound during an auskultation.

According to the press release, producers intend to integrate the software and algorithms of artificial intelligence Eko with technologies of a digital stethoscope to provide high-quality inspection of patients with damages of heart and lungs. Thanks to the electronic amplifier with the maximum volume at a peak frequency (125 Hz) the new digital stethoscope provides 40-fold signal multiplication in comparison with normal analog devices.

3M begins release of stethoscopes with artificial intelligence for the best listening of sounds of heart and lungs

Clinical physicians will also have access to algorithms of AI and software for support of adoption of clinical solutions which will help them to carry out screening during standard medical examinations. Besides, they will get access to the telemedicine software of Eko which will allow to use advantages of a stethoscope to remote care of patients. Eko already got permission of regulatory bodies to use of software which is capable to distinguish fibrillation of auricles and warm noise at an auskultation.
