Announcement of a system of dynamic positioning of Pilot Control

In September, 2019 the system of dynamic positioning of ABB Ability Marine Pilot Control intended for simplification of maneuvering and increase in safety of the vessel is provided.

The system of the dynamic positioning (DP) displays work of the vessel in visual 3D - a format, allows to visualize in a complex a surrounding situation and to define an optimal method of management. It is an option of the ABB Ability Marine Pilot Control tool. The intuitive interface of the touch screen focused on the user reports parameters of the external environment, helping to make the correct decisions.

The DP system allows transition to management using the joystick at any vessel speed and at any stage of work. The awareness and an opportunity not to be distracted by switching of the modes allow crew to be focused at the work at management or positioning of the vessel that certainly increases safety of navigation.

The ABB AbilityTM Marine Pilot Control system is compatible to the existing aircraft equipment, is easily mounted and is simple in service. It is one more tool of the ABB Ability portfolio optimizing management in the bridge screw complex.

The DP system can promote with coastal command center of ABB Ability Collaborative Operations Center among which options - permanent monitoring of the AVV onboard systems and the round-the-clock communication with specialists.

ABB Ability Marine Pilot Vision uses the last developments in touch technologies and machine vision. The system of situational awareness displays (visualizes) Wednesday around the vessel in real time and offers new methods of perception of a situation. The virtual model of the ship is imposed on the real environment, allowing to see work from outside. The managing director can quickly switch the overview modes, predetermining the movement of the vessel taking into account the hidden obstacles or risks of collision. The situational awareness is better, the work of the vessel is safer and more effective.
