On September 26, 2019 the company Schneider Electric provided uninterruptible power supply units APC the Easy Smart series -UPS the SMV series. Five models UPS, SMV750CAI, SMV1000CAI, SMV1500CAI, SMV2000CAI and SMV3000CAI which are a part of a line have a capacity 750 BA (525 W), 1000 BA (700 W), 1500 BA (1050 W), 2000 BA (1400 W) and 3000 BA (2100 W). Models are provided on average a price segment and are available to projects where the price is the main acceptance criterion of the solution.

SMV series APC Easy Smart UPS UPS

As noted in Schneider Electric, APC Easy Smart UPS UPSes of the SMV series are intended for protection of a power supply of server, network and telecommunication equipment of initial level. Models of this series depending on power are suitable for protection against interruptions in power supply of one or several servers of initial level, or several network devices even in case it is required to have remote control operation of the UPS.

Easy Smarts UPS SMV treat a segment linearly - interactive UPSes and generate a net sine signal during the work from the battery. Important feature of a series, according to the producer, is the possibility of installation of the network interface card that the UPS allows to manage far off. All devices of the SMV series have the LCD display which allows to see keyword parameters of operation of the UPS – the predicted battery life, the power consumption of the connected equipment and other operation parameters of a source.

UPSes are issued in the form of separate devices in a form factor of "Tower". Rather small sizes of devices do them insensitive to the location: they can be set both at small office, and in the production premises, emphasized in Schneider Electric.

At devices there is an USB port and also a serial port for integration of the UPS and the server using the software allowing to configure automatic switching off of the server at a low remaining balance of battery power. Clicking of one button it is possible to turn off sound signaling about power failure, the producer noted.

According to the producer, all devices of a series use "line interactive" technology. The main feature linearly - the interactive UPS is that it is capable to provide a normal power supply of loading at the increased or lowered power supply network tension (the most widespread type of malfunctions in domestic power supply networks) without transition to a standalone mode. As a result service life of rechargeable batteries lasts. Its comparative simplicity and reliability, lower cost and also high efficiency in the network mode also belong to advantages linearly - the interactive scheme.

According to the statement of the producer, the APC Easy Smart UPS UPS of the SMV series can interact with any electronic devices equipped with switch mode power supplies including a computer hardware. It occurs thanks to the fact that pulse power supplies are insensitive to a form of a sinusoid of power voltage and also its short-term failures.
