2018: The announcement of the motherboard for miners
At the end of May, 2018 the Asus company announced the motherboard intended to the people who are engaged in production of cryptocurrencies. The model under the name of ASUS H370 Mining Master supports installation of a large number of video cards, but not by absolutely traditional method.
The motherboard is created the ATX format and intended for work with the Intel processors LGA 1151. It not the first solution for miners, but a product of Asus differs in presence of only one slot of PCI Express 3.0 h16. For connection of video cards the producer is offered to use USB 3.1 ports though the interface is applied after all PCIe. So the USB Male-to-Male cables and special small fees (rayzer) with USB connectors and PCI Express will be necessary for connection of video cards.
The motherboard received 20 so-called ports PCIe-over-USB to which it is possible to connect video cards. Also there are USB connectors intended for connection of mobile devices, a flash drives, etc. On a payment HDMI and DVI ports for image output are set, to PS/2 (for connection of the keyboard and a computer mouse), audioslots, the Intel Gigabit LAN network controller and three 24-contact connectors for ensuring a power supply.
The device supports installation of two modules of RAM DDR4-2666/2400/2133. The maximum allowed amount of OZU is 32 Gbytes. For connection of hard drives and solid state drives Serial ATA 3.0 ports with capacity to 6 Gbps are used.
Besides, buttons of inclusion and reset, the indicator of the POST codes for increase in convenience of mining which can seldom be met in such class of products are provided.
Sales of model of Asus H370 Mining Master will begin in the third quarter 2018. Its price at the time of the announcement is not set.[1]
