AXIS Camera Station is a software technology for video surveillance and recording in medium-sized systems.
2021: Axis Camera Station Secure Entry Release
On August 10, 2021, Axis Communications announced the release of the AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry application. This comprehensive solution allows operators to get a full understanding of what is happening in the video surveillance zone: work with access control in the system, view streams from cameras in real time, configure and receive alerts, study access logs in conjunction with video materials to investigate incidents. The AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry is easily scalable and suitable for applications ranging from retail stores and schools to office and office buildings. All functions are available in one intuitive interface.
The application provides access control for up to 128 doors within a single server, supports several accounts registered per user, and is designed for 10,000 cardholders. AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry is compatible with the Axis Communications product line, including the AXIS A1601 door network controller, the AXIS I8016-LVE network video modem, the AXIS A9161 network relay I/O module, the Axis 4ACTX 4ACTX cartridges, as well as the non-TOUCH 702 Axis Camera Station Secure Entry is included in any Axis Camera Station license. One license is required for each door controller.
With an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, cardholders can easily control access and determine who can enter a specific room and when. And seamless integration with the system video surveillance under one platform will minimize the number of unwanted incidents and increase the level of security at the site. Software AXIS Camera Station also provides secure and reliable transmission data encrypted in form.
2015: Support for two-way audio transmission
On April 29, 2015, Axis Communications announced the release of the next version of AXIS Camera Station software[1].
This release provides support for two-way audio transmission, which allows you to connect network video phones and Axis horn speakers to video surveillance systems. A special "operator mode" appeared in the application interface, increasing the efficiency of both inexperienced and advanced users in such areas of use as retail, manufacturing enterprises, and educational institutions.

In operator mode, the interface deployed to the full screen provides the operator with convenient access to the most important functions of the system - real-time video surveillance, video viewing, event protocol.
AXIS Camera Station communicates with the AXIS A8004-VE network video phone, providing two-way communication, high definition video identification and remote physical access control, or, the AXIS C3003-E network horn speaker, through which the operator can contact groups of people to, for example, prevent unwanted actions.
The functions of panoramic video recording with an overview of 360° with compensation of optical distortions on the client workstation and simultaneous viewing of several video streams are implemented.
Supports Axis Corridor Format, H.264 video compression algorithm, Axis Zipstream technologies, advanced motion detection features built into cameras, which allows you to obtain high-resolution video images for reliable identification, even with limited network bandwidth or drive capacity.
