2020: Presentation of the solution Elastic Digital Workplace
On April 15, 2020 the Accenture company announced development of an algorithm Elastic Digital Workplace ("A flexible digital working environment"). The solution transfers business of clients to the mode of optimization of production with ensuring protection of employees.
Elastic Digital Workplace is the strategy based on long-term experience of Accenture in the conditions of remote commands. The algorithm assumes creation of a scalable working environment which allows to adapt quickly to the changing business needs depending on global and local conditions.
The main priority – the employees assistance in adaptation to remote work and business process optimization for work performance improvement.
The main objectives of Elastic Digital Workplace are provided by operational deployment and scaling of instruments of collective work, such as Microsoft Teams and also providing target instructions for the effective performance of remote jobs.
For this purpose it is necessary to organize the working group (Task Force) with participation of representatives of business departments, lawyers, HR, IT, marketing and corporate communications and security from client side.
The group should trace equipment of workers mobile solutions and implementation of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure tools from the entrusted participants of a partner ecosystem of Accenture: Amazon, Citrix, Microsoft and VMware.
After that it is necessary to provide secure remote access to applications and data.
Implementations of an algorithm in practice is divided into the next stages:
- within 24 hours audit of a current status of the company is booked, technological capabilities and capability to internal scaling, including the current plan of communications and structure of support are estimated;
- within 72 hours it is necessary to define how to use the existing technologies in the most effective way;
- in the next 5 days the plan of changes of a management structure should be developed by processes of the company and increase in level of awareness on new culture. For this purpose it is necessary to include leader communications which encourage employees to implement the technologies allowing to work in a new digital medium;
- within 2 weeks it is necessary to upgrade and scale possibilities of remote interaction of employees among themselves and also with clients and partners.
At increase in number of the employees working far off instruments of joint work should cope immediately with increase in volume and loading, at the same time increasing convenience of using and performance.
The road map of adaptation of Elastic Digital Workplace includes the following tasks: change of corporate culture; organization of tools and order of flexible remote cooperation; deployment of a virtual working environment; setup of seamless network outside corporate perimeter; support to the distributed continuity of a company performance and adaptive security.
For acceleration of transition to new methods of collective work based on the integrated communications it is necessary to use the training materials allowing business users to adapt to changes in style of daily work.
