On August 27, 2021, Acer introduced the AV10a portable projector on the Russian market. The model features extremely small dimensions and appearance, which resembles a modern Bluetooth column.

According to the company, AOPEN AV10a weighs less than 700 grams with dimensions of 86 x 86 x 136 mm and looks more like a "smart column" rather than a modern multimedia projector. This similarity is no coincidence, because the AV10a can really work in Bluetooth column mode and is equipped with 5-watt speakers. Thanks to this, the model is ready to help with watching favorite films, and listening to music. The projector is also suitable for fitness classes, and in the settings several modes are available to users at once, which make it possible to achieve proper sound quality when playing various types of content. The compact design of the projector fits into any interior and allows you to take it with you anywhere, simply by putting it in a bag or backpack. Despite the dimensions comparable to the Bluetooth column, the AV10a is equipped with a capacitive battery at 8000 mAh and can work up to 2 hours without recharging. The model is also ready to act as an external charger for gadgets connected through the USB Type-C port.

The AV10a provides projection through the use of a bright and durable LED lamp (maximum brightness 150 lumens and service life up to 30,000 hours) and 480p resolution support. The native projection format is 16:9, while the model can work with 4:3 video format and supports file resolution up to 1080p. Proper contrast level (10,000:1) and color rendering with 85 percent coverage of NTSC space help achieve natural shades without burnout even when working in a well-lit room. Also, the capabilities of the model include noiselessness, quick switching on and off. And in case of projection on an uneven surface, the AV10a supports automatic and manual vertical correction of distortions (+/-15 °).

All the necessary buttons are located on the upper panel, and fans to turn on the film and get on the couch more comfortable will probably appreciate the complete remote control. Wireless connectivity to image and audio sources does not require additional software and is fast enough. The AV10a provides a complete set of ports for wiring, including 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x USB Type A, and 1 x HDMI. The projector is also equipped with an integrated truck for SD memory cards (Micro, SDHC).

AOPEN AV10a refers to smart multimedia projectors, so it supports the installation of software from the special store of applications Aptoide TV for Android. Aptoide TV is pre-installed in AOPEN AV10a, absolutely free (like all applications in the catalog) and does not require additional configuration. About 2500 applications are available in Aptoide TV as of August 2021.

According to the company, the AOPEN line is designed for users who value portability and multifunctionality in their gadgets. In addition to the minimum weight (less than 700 grams) and small dimensions, the AV10 features a stylish and modern design.

The main thing that AOPEN AV10 can offer users is a projection with brightness in the lumen 150 and a level of contrast 10,000:1. Support for 480p resolution (maximum resolution of the image source - up to 1080p) in combination with such parameters helps to achieve proper detail and clarity of the picture, both in dark home cinema halls and with fairly bright lighting, for example, during the day. And natural color rendering with 85 percent coverage of NTSC color space provides bright and saturated shades of projection.

At the same time, the source of the image can be both the user's PC and any mobile device - the AV10 supports wireless connection to smartphones and tablets without the need to install additional software.

In addition to connecting wirelessly to video sources, the AV10 can support portable Bluetooth column mode. The integrated 5-watt stereo speakers of the projector can cope with sound playback. The model also supports the ability to switch between specialized presets of settings for music and films. The device itself works almost silently - the maximum noise level from the projector does not exceed 30 dB.

A large set of ports for connecting to external sources allows you to use the AV10 with almost any gadget. On the rear of the projector housing are USB Type-C and USB Type A ports, an HDMI connector and a cartridge. At the same time, when connected through the USB Type-C port, the AV10 will charge the user's tablet or smartphone with the transfer of video and sound.

AOPEN AV10 does not require time to warm up the lamp or load the system. Almost immediately after switching on, the device is ready to work. And just as quickly, it turns off when the evening of the movie is over and the owner is ready to go home. The projector supports automatic image correction and can even be installed on the ceiling (special tripod is not included). The capacity of its battery will be enough for 2 hours, that is, to watch a whole film, several episodes of the series or a sports match.

AV10 is controlled using the panel in the upper part of the housing or from the complete remote control panel. Other possibilities include the long life of the LED lamp, which is capable of working in ECO mode up to 30,000 hours.

The Acer AOPEN AV10 projector will appear on sale in Russia in mid-February 2021. The recommended price starts from 29,990 rubles.
