Acticor (defibrillators)

2019: Announcement

At the end of April, 2019 the Biotronik company provided family of defibrillators Acticor, including the implanted kardiovertery-defibrillators (IKD) and biventrikulyarny electropacemakers with function of the cardioversion defibrillation (SRT-IKD).

Thanks to an electrode of Plexa ProMRI S DX hybrid IKD Acticor allow two-chamber diagnostics without installation of a predserdny electrode. At the same time all Acticor DX devices have a new configuration of the connector DF4 which simplifies the procedure of implantation for doctors. Thanks to it time of holding a procedure is reduced, costs for installation and the frequency of complications decrease.

Biotronik provided defibrillators with the increased service life

New devices have thickness only 10 mm and smooth, rounded shape which facilitates implantation and increases quality of life of the patient. In new devices battery service life - almost up to 15 years for Rivacor VR-T, up to 13.5 years for Rivacor DR-T, up to 14 years for Acticor DX and up to 11 years for Rivacor CRT and Acticor CRT-DX is prolonged. IKD, smaller on volume, with ampler diagnostic opportunities and more progressive tense of independent operation improve the result of treatment. Besides, the unique Biotronik DX technology allows to reveal asymptomatic fibrillation of auricles that helps to prevent a stroke, increases diagnostics accuracy at adoption of clinical solutions and allows to carry out differential diagnostics with supraventricular tachycardia.

Regulatory bodies of the USA approved use of Acticor DX, Acticor CRT-DX Bipolar and Acticor CRT-DX and also Rivacor family devices for treatment of tachycardia and heart failure. According to data of the producer, Acticor and Rivacor - the smallest and thin devices for control of a warm rhythm approved for use when scanning all body using 3T MPT.^[1]
