ActivID Tap Authentication

ActivID Tap Authentication is the platform for the organization of multifactor authentication in cloud applicaions and web services.

On April 15, 2015 the HID Global company submitted the ActivID Tap Authentication platform. The new solution is focused on use in the course of gaining access to Office365 software product and other cloud applicaions and Microsoft web services, having attached a smart card on the notebook, the tablet, phone, any NFC device.

The solution uses identifiers of Seos that allows the organizations to implement model of contactless access and when opening doors, and at an input in cloud applicaions.

According to the statement of developer company, the solution ActivID Tap Authentication is intended for increased security and convenience of work with different corporate applications, in particular where it is required to enter more than twenty logins every day for gaining access to data and services of the company. The organizations which implemented ActivID Tap Authentication for Microsoft have no need to think out difficult passwords, and users should not remember too many computer credentials. Employees can use a uniform smart card for easy access to data, cloud resources and opening of doors.

The product ActivID Tap Authentication for Microsoft is closely integrated with Windows Server 2012 R2 Active Directory Federation Services and HID Global Authentication Cloud Service.

As a part of the solution ActivID Tap Authentication Provider, Tap App for Android, Tap client for Windows 7, cloud services of authentication, a smart card of HID Global Seos and the additional USB reader of OMNIKEY for Windows 7 without the built-in NFC readers.
