2021: Add a toolkit to quickly add, customize, and stylize captions and subtitles
On March 10, 2021, Adobe introduced a complete set of tools for quickly adding, configuring and stylizing captions and subtitles in Premiere Pro. Until the end of 2021, tools for converting speech into text will be added to this. Another function is to copy and paste not just individual audio effects, but entire tracks where these effects are added.
In addition, it is possible to display and use the timecode at a non-standard frame rate, for example 120 or 240 fps. Finally, the built-in color and gamma correction parameters are optimized taking into account the specifics of RED files.
2013: AMD and Adobe join forces on a new version of Adobe Premiere Pro
In April 2013, AMD announced a collaboration with Adobe Systems Incorporated to provide hardware acceleration in OpenCL when editing videos for the new version of Adobe Premiere Pro - for the first time on the Microsoft Windows platform.
The new version of Adobe Premiere Pro is optimized to take full advantage of professional and amateur graphics (GPU) and AMD hybrid processors (APU), providing unprecedented real-time video editing capabilities in formats from DV to HD and 4KUltra HD at a high frame rate. Now Adobe and AMD are extending this functionality to OpenCL for professionals working on Windows. Enhanced support on Windows and OSX platforms complements current support for Mac OSX OpenCL in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The combination of AMD graphics with the latest Adobe software provides professionals and video editing enthusiasts with everything they need for easy work. The new version of Adobe Premiere Pro with OpenCL support uses the power of discrete AMD graphics cards and hybrid AMD A-series processors, allowing you to perform editing and apply dozens of real-time effects with support for the new Lumetri deep chroma mechanism, as well as accelerated multi-threaded processing of mixed-format workflows using visualization technology on multiple AMD Eyefinity monitors.
AMD technology - from APU and video cards for laptops to professional video cards for workstations such as AMD FirePro W Series - seamlessly interacts with Adobe Premiere Pro, providing scalable video editing solutions with GPU acceleration, inspiring lovers and creative professionals around the world. OpenCL-accelerated software leverages the computing power of AMD hybrid and GPUs to achieve 4.3 times faster exports from the source format using effects to the final format preferred for fast and easy distribution and publishing.
