2025: Establishment of the Centre Begins
In Russia, a single center for digital solutions in agriculture is being created under the name "Agroport." The new platform will combine the marketplace of digital services, a knowledge library, consulting and a training system for the agro-industrial complex. Olga Chebunina, General Director of Agropromcifra, Deputy Chairman of the APK IC, announced plans to launch the project in Nizhny Novgorod in early June 2025.
Agropromcipra is developing a test version of the product and plans to put the platform into commercial operation by the end of 2025. Olga Chebunina stressed that the organization's task is to create a single center for digital solutions for the agro-industrial complex.
The head of Agropromcithra explained that the company, as an industrial competence center, can see the entire IT landscape of the industry and determine the directions where there is still potential for digitalization. The platform will identify white spots in the field of digital technology adoption in agriculture.
Agroport will become a single entry point for digital solutions that already exist in the industry and the necessary equipment to support them. The platform will also provide access to consulting and educational services in the agro-industrial complex.
The new center will allow you to regulate and control the real use of artificial intelligence and other modern trends in the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex. The system will provide a centralized approach to the introduction of digital technologies in the agricultural industry of Russia.
The digital services marketplace will provide agricultural producers with the opportunity to choose from a wide range of IT solutions for various tasks. The knowledge library will contain information on the best practices and methods of applying digital technologies in the agro-industrial sector.[1]
