2025: Product Announcement

At the end of September 2025, the American company AiM Medical Robotics introduced a robotic platform that allows surgeons to perform accurate neurosurgery directly in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device. This approach improves the safety of procedures and reduces the time to perform them while reducing risks to the patient and reducing health care costs .

Thanks to AiM Medical Robotics technology, when performing interventions, there is no need to move the patient between the imaging department and the operating room. The innovative neurosurgical system uses real-time intraoperative MRI combined with robotic control. The platform is suitable for a wide range of cranial surgeries, including biopsy, tumor ablation, and targeted intracranial delivery of therapeutic drugs. In addition, the system can be used to precisely place neurostimulation electrodes in Parkinson's patients.

The developed technology provides continuous real-time visualization during operations, which increases the efficiency and safety of procedures. In the future, AiM Medical Robotics plans to expand the capabilities of the system by integrating artificial intelligence.

At the same time, the company announced a Series A funding round, during which $8.1 million was raised. The investment program was attended by IQ Capital, 1540 Ventures, Sontag Innovation Fund, Cancer Research Horizons, New York Angels (NYA), Harvard Business School Alumni Angels (HBSAA), SWAN Impact Network, Angel Star Ventures and Keiretsu Forum. The money will be used to further develop the robotic surgical platform.[1]
