In mid-July 2023, it became known about the creation in Russia of a hybrid medical complex for minimally invasive surgery "Alcor." This is the development of the All-Russian Research Institute "Vega" of the concern "Automation," which is part of the holding "Roselectronics."

device is designed for carrying out operations and examinations under control of optical instruments and ultrasonic sensors. This equipment can be used in gynecology, proctology and urology, as well as in the examination of veins, removal of neoplasms on the skin and the treatment of ENT diseases. The complex includes ultrasonic, endoscopic and surgical modules combined into a system with a common control panel.

According to the press service of Roselectronics, the system is built on a modular principle, which allows you to select devices for the needs of the customer and a specific specialist, which ultimately costs less than purchasing different devices separately. The equipment combines on one medical stand a radio-wave surgical apparatus, a diode laser two-wave coagulator unit, an ultrasonic scanning unit with color Doppler mapping, an ultrasonic Doppler unit, an endovideo system unit and a single control panel with special software.

According to the general director of the All-Russian Research Institute "Vega" Vladimir Stefan, by mid-July 2023, a prototype of a hybrid medical complex for minimally invasive surgery "Alcor" was created. Its preliminary tests have already been carried out, they confirmed the product's compliance with the terms of reference, he said.
