2024: Coming to the disposal of the Russian army

The Russian army received Alligator drones designed to intercept enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). About the new domestic development in mid-November 2025 told in the design bureau "Vector."

"Alligator" is made in an oblong case and is equipped with four screws. It is claimed that the model retains the control characteristic of quadcopters, while providing a high flight speed that can reach 270 km/h. Thus, the Alligator is able to catch up with almost any enemy strike and reconnaissance UAVs.

The key feature of the drone is that it retains copter control and at the same time achieves high speed. There are successful uses for shooting down "Baba-Yaga" (heavy hexacopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine), - said representatives of the design bureau "Vector," whose words are quoted by the resource Mashnews.

The role of the payload in the Alligator is played by the VOG-25 (fragmentation grenade launcher of the 25th model). Destruction of the target is possible by remote detonation when attacking an enemy drone or by contact detonation from a collision. The total mass of the Alligator (with warhead) is about 1.2 kg. The charge of the battery pack is enough for 15 minutes of flight at a range of up to 8 km.

Earlier it was reported that Moscow developers, with the support of the Kulibin Club of the Popular Front, created a high-speed interceptor drone with a vertical take-off. It, as noted by the Izvestia newspaper, is designed to unload air defense systems (air defense) in the face of massive attacks by aircraft-type drones. The device is capable of functioning at a distance of up to 10-15 km, activating the warhead in automatic mode.[1]
