2025: Product Announcement

At the end of September 2023, Ally Solos smart glasses for blind and visually impaired users went on sale. The gadget was created by Envision, which specializes in technologies for people with disabilities, in partnership with the developer of smart glasses Solos.

The Ally Solos design includes an HD camera that monitors the environment. Users via natural language voice commands can interact with the Envision Ally intelligent assistant, which works when paired with a smartphone running Android and iOS. In particular, you can ask glasses to read any inscription, translate the text, find information on the Internet, describe the scene, recognize the object, etc. The AI assistant will play the generated response through Whisper open speakers, which provide pure directional sound without blocking ambient sounds.

It is noted that over time, Ally's assistant adjusts to the user, his interests and pace of life. The owner receives personalized answers, which helps in various situations and improves the quality of life.

The glasses are available in black, brown and gray color options and in two frame sizes. The mass is less than 50 grams. Protection against dust and splashes according to the IP67 standard is implemented. The equipment includes a Bluetooth 5.2 controller with BLE Wireless support. The claimed battery life on a single battery charge reaches 16 hours. About 15 minutes of fast charging will last for three hours of work, while it takes an hour and a half to fully replenish the energy supply. The lenses block UV radiation and have an anti-glare coating. The cost of Ally Solos at the end of September 2025 is about $600.[1]
