Amazon Elasticsearch Service (AES) is the managed service for independent deployment of the open search and analytical Elasticsearch engine in the Amazon Web Services cloud environment.

On October 5, 2015 announced Amazon release of Amazon Elasticsearch Service (AES).

As the company reported, using AWS Management Console users can set and configure Amazon Elasticsearch cluster in several minutes, at the same time service in the automatic mode will manage cluster nodes, to reveal defects and to replace the failed Elasticsearch nodes.

Clients get access to the dug-out Elasticsearch API through service and applications which are used by the Elasticsearch engines installed in option onpremis can switch to cloud resources.

As the data warehouse of AES can use either some selected storage device, or dynamic means, like Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS). After the search cluster is set, users can load information into storage, and then send search queries and browse results using the Kibana tools.

The search service of Amazon is available in nine data centers of the company worldwide. Customers with the status AWS Free Tier (new clients within 12 months), will get free access to one t2.micro.elasticsearch node (750 hours a month) and in addition 10 GB of memory in EBS.
