Analyst's Notebook is a principal component of i2 systems. Allows to carry out quickly and effectively the analysis of a system of the interconnected objects and dynamics of consecutive events, displaying results of a research in the form of schemes and charts, convenient for understanding.
Information is displayed on the chart in the form of objects to which if necessary it is possible to add additional attributes and cards of data with comments. Objects on the chart can be presented not only in the form of icons, but also in the form of photos, files, audio recordings, videos, etc.
The program allows to create charts using requests to relational databases and also import of data from .txt and .xml of files. By means of the functions which are available in Analyst's Notebook it is possible to integrate elements of charts, to look for the communications existing between them, to use the system of search of elements, to trace the "way" integrating objects, etc.
Analyst's Notebook helps to reveal quickly a key part of the problem and to define the right direction of further work that is promoted by a wide choice of tools for arrangement, copyings, updating and search of the objects represented on the chart, consolidation of charts and their scaling. Analyst's Notebook is supplied by the editor allowing to formulate in a graphic form a request for object search and identification of their communications, to create templates of the interesting events.
Main types of the charts Analyst's Notebook
Analyst's Notebook provides a number of convenient formats of visualization, each of which in own way clears up sense of information and shows communications between objects. There are several types of charts:
Link Analysis charts (The analysis of communications) - show interrelations between people, bank accounts, the organizations, phone numbers, property of firms and other things, including, for example, passing of goods through all above-mentioned "points". The similar analysis simplifies work even with the most tangled data.
Network Analysis charts (The analysis of networks) is automatically created charts which contain the large volume of information. Usually charts of this type use for the image of communications between the phone numbers, bank accounts or transactions made by means of the Internet.
Sequence of Events charts (The analysis of the sequences of events) - such charts allow to trace the sequence and interrelation of certain events during a certain period.
Transaction Pattern Analysis charts (The analysis of the repeating templates in transactions) - allow to reveal and analyze the steady, repeating in time sequences of events, whether it be telephone conversations or bank transactions.
Analyst's Notebook can be used with other software of i2 company (iBase, iBase SSE, Pattern Tracer TCA, iBridge), to work both with personal databases of iBase, and with relational databases. If desired Analyst's Notebook can be integrated into already working for the user of the application.
Features
- Quick search of the general elements and interrelations hidden in data.
- Simplicity of interpretation of difficult information.
- Broad spectrum of available analytical technologies of investigation.
- The graphic display of results making them more available and simple for understanding.
- Creation of the dynamic and evident charts including photos, videos and documents.
- Change of representation of types of charts from the chart of communications on the chart of the temporary sequence of events and vice versa.
- Ease of management of charts and search on them the interesting objects.
- Distribution of charts in a printing and electronic form between concerned parties.
Integration solutions i2 allow to integrate the data which are already saved up in the organization and carried according to different applications and to carry out the analysis without additional loading, converting and switching between tasks. i2 provides connection with such relational databases as Oracle, the Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access and also has an opportunity to interact with a GIS-applications (Geographic information systems), statistical tools of the analysis and other.
