2015: NSS and Angstrem created replacement to the American chips for the GLONASS satellites
On November 5, 2015 it became known of creation in Russia of chips which in the GLONASS satellites will replace solutions of foreign production. TASS with reference to the statement of "Information Satellite Systems of Reshetnev" company (ISS) which within the import substitution program together with the Zelenograd firm "Angstrem" made a new chip reports about it.
It is intended for the navigation GLONASS-K2 satellites and will become replacement to electronics of the American company Actel.
"During tests it was confirmed that they correspond to required technical characteristics. The pilot batch of integrated circuits on the basis of basic matrix crystals developed by reshetnevets together with the Angstrem enterprise", says ISS was successfully approved.
The company signed the contract for production of five more types of such chips which will be created until the end of 2015 with Angstrem and after that will begin to be used as a part of the equipment of an onboard complex of management of the navigation spacecraft of new generation "GLONASS-K2".[1]
