2021: Start of production of police electric vehicles in the Russian Federation
At the end of March 2021, the Tula Machine-Building Plant (Tulamashzavod) began production of a police version of its Ant electric car. According to the developers, a silent miniature truck may be in demand to protect order in the parks.
We decided to make such a police option. It can be used in recreational areas, in parks - the police drove, looked, does anyone violate the order? Violators can be put in the body. The car is good because it is compact and environmentally safe - it is on electric traction, that is, no harmful emissions, "Sergey Provotorov, acting technical director of the enterprise, told RIA Novosti. |
Initially, the police electric car was planned to be put into production back in 2020, but the plans were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 At Tulamashzavod it was reported that there are a certain number of orders for a police car, but "there are few of them yet." At the same time, interest in this electric car from the outside MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS Russia by the end of March 2021 is not officially reported.
The technical characteristics of the car on the plant's website indicate that Ant is primarily intended for transport operations on the territory of enterprises, organizations and industrial zones without the right to leave on public roads. The maximum speed of an electric car is 20 kilometers per hour, length - almost 3.5 meters, width - 1.5 meters, height - 2.1 meters. The price of the car is 1.3 million rubles.

The Ant drives an electric motor with a capacity of 5 hp. The maximum speed of the car is 22 km/h. On one charge, the truck passes up to 90 km depending on the load. The engine is powered by lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte.
The car received a closed double panel-frame cabin, protecting the driver and passenger from adverse weather conditions. Elements of external appearance are made of fiberglass.
Two versions are available for customers to choose from: BTS-01 and BTS-02. They differ in that the first can be recharged from a diesel generator, and the second not.
