2024: Product Announcement
In early April 2024, the Captains company launched the first short-term boat rental service in Russia. For this, a mobile application called AnyCaps has been released.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, investments at the initial stage of the project amounted to about 15 million rubles. As the owner and general director of Captains LLC Roman Zharikov said, at the time of launch, more than 100 water bicycles and over 200 boats with captains will be available in the mobile application. The rental price will be determined by the owners of the boats themselves, and on average it is expected to be from 4 thousand rubles per hour. Depending on the level of the vessel, the value can reach 50 thousand rubles. Link to an app in the App Store.
We plan to open the season in May [2024] in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, and closer to summer to extend the service to all of Russia. At the moment, we have used the center of the Northern capital, where there will be boats with captains, and in the Leningrad region we will put grill boats and water bicycles on equipped lakes, "says Zharikov. |
In the future, the project is planned to be developed: the company intends, in particular, to form its own fleet. Water transport will be provided with life jackets and sensors to ensure safety. Before starting the walk, the user will have to confirm the presence of such equipment with photos through the application. Sensors will allow you to collect information about the trip, including tracking movement on water bikes. If it is determined that the user has left the transport in the middle of the reservoir, the system will automatically call rescuers. In the case of boats, safety is monitored by a captain with a license to transport passengers.
The general director of the agency "Infoline-Analytics" Mikhail Burmistrov believes that the service will be in demand in the context of the active development of domestic tourism in Russia and taking into account the tourist potential of the waterways of St. Petersburg.[1]
