GraphicsJS - open-source JavaScript-library on the basis of SVG/VML.
2017: Opening of codes of libraries of data visualization within release 7.13.0
The Irkutsk company AnyChart opened the source code of the JavaScript (HTML5) of libraries for creation of diagrams: AnyChart, AnyStock, AnyGantt and AnyMap. It was made within the large-scale update 7.13.0 which is just released for them. Thus, the solutions AnyChart received the maximum flexibility, and now web developer can add and change any parts at the level of source codes.
Having announced the solutions open and having laid out the source code on GitHub, AnyChart also made open access to bild-scripts and branches of development.
In version 7.13.0 the following is added:
- plug-ins for AngularJS, Ember.js, jQuery, Meteor, Node.js and React;
- the improved performance;
- drawing of any original series;
- Pareto's charts and also Step (forward/back), Stick, Jump Line and vertical schedule types;
- setup of interactivity of communications in Gant's charts;
- new indicators for the technical analysis (AMA, ATR, KDJ, Bollinger Bands and others);
- a possibility of setup of separate points in diagrams with a time scale;
- new opportunities of setup of a legend.
2016: Start of free open-source of library
On September 15, 2016 the AnyChart company announced start of free open-source JavaScript-library for drawing of any HTML5 diagrams and animation - GraphicsJS.
GraphicsJS provides the opportunities for drawing of lines which are not limited to Bezier curves, adding of multiline texts, their measurement, "the smart system" of layers with the z-index, the engine, independent of browsers, for transformations, API with a chain call. GraphicsJS works with old browsers (IE6+).
GraphicsJS was developed and earlier was applied as the graphic engine in commercial libraries for creation of the various charts offered AnyChart: AnyChart (diagrams), AnyMap (card), AnyStock (financial diagrams) and AnyGantt (chart Ganta). It is used for data visualization by corporations Oracle Microsoft Volkswagen AT&T Samsung, BP Bosch Merck Reuters, Bank of China and thousands of other clients of the company, including more than 70% of the enterprises from the list of Fortune 1000.
