Apama Streaming Analytics is the platform collecting data from a set of sources for tracking of the current market situation, the analysis of huge arrays of dynamic Big Data (including stream data from counters, information from social networks and from mobile devices).


The technology of analytics in real time of the Apama platform is the major tool in work of the enterprises, providing accumulation of volume of knowledge, guaranteeing additional benefits and providing useful operational information. On October 15, 2014 Software AG submitted the high-performance Apama Streaming Analytics platform.

Wideband data links increase performance on one server by 20 times - more than 32 million events per second. At horizontal scaling performance can grow to billions of events per second. This result is provided with separation of a data stream into several channels that allows to involve architecture of parallel processing as much as possible. Data do not "mix up" with each other, and the probability of emergence of "bottlenecks" is equal to zero. It means an opportunity to structure applications for developers so that their data could be processed independently and be executed in parallel.

During testing of performance, specialists of Intel and Software AG developed the scenario assuming use of one server on the Intel Xeon E7-V2 platform to which the system equivalent to network of 700 thousand retail stores is connected. The Apama platform placed on the server under control of Intel Xeon E7-V2 could process 5.6 million data-refresh per second.
