2022: The first Russian electric vehicle for public utilities presented
In August 2022, the Russian company Concordia introduced its own electric car, which is designed for use by city utilities and management companies. The vehicle was named "Apis."
The electric car is equipped with one 13.6-horsepower (10 kW) electric motor, the energy of which is spent both on movement (the machine uses an all-wheel drive system) and on the drive of mounted units through the power takeoff system. The lifting capacity of the Apis is 600 kg, and on a trailer it can carry up to 20 tons.
According to the manufacturer, the electric car is capable of reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h and driving about 60 km without recharging. It takes at least 6 hours to fully charge the battery from the household electrical network.
The machine can be used for year-round maintenance of road surfaces, sanitization of streets and even mowing grass with an optional trailed mower. There is also a modification with a vacuum cleaner. The narrow track (970mm for the rear wheels) allows you to move along the park tracks without driving to the side of the road, and the minimum ground clearance of 200mm makes it easier to ride off-road.
Авто.ру The company told the magazine that Concordia some of the components for the production of Apis had already been localized by August 2022. For example, an electric motor with a gearbox and a controller for Concordia produces and calibrates the NTC "Drive Technology," and batteries are assembled in Yelets. Software also Russian. Some details of the Apis design are supplied from Turkey and, China however, with a high level of demand, Concordia is ready to localize them.
By the end of August 2022, the electric car is preparing for a series of tests, after which it is planned to begin production and sales of new items.[1]
