2022: Module Presentation
A bidirectional V2G (Vehicle-to-grid) module has been developed, ready for integration into any charging station. This was announced on October 20, 2022 by the Yablochkov company.
The V2G technology in the Smart grid allows the electric car not only to charge, but also to deliver electricity back to the grid. With a correctly built algorithm for the operation of "smart" networks, electric vehicles act as a tool for balancing consumption and accumulation of electricity, which has a positive effect on the overall load of the network. Energy sales companies and renewable energy sources, with the wide introduction of bidirectional charging, will be able to smooth out the peaks of energy consumption, and owners of electric vehicles will be able to charge the car at reduced tariffs and return electricity back to the network at a favorable cost.
The Yablochki module is designed using silicon carbide semiconductors and latest generation microcontrollers to control power electronics. And the universal control algorithm has several degrees of protection and a high rate of response to changes in the state of the network and/or electric car.
Charging V2G stations are a technology not only for Russia, only a few companies in the world are developing and installing such ESS. The technology is being introduced in Smart City projects in China, Japan, England, the United States, and its promotion is carried out by the largest manufacturers of electric vehicles. In 2021, our company won an Innovation Assistance Fund grant to create a bidirectional charging station. Serial production of EZS will begin in 2023, after the approval of the final version of the international standard for bidirectional charging stations in terms of requirements for bidirectional power flow. According to forecasts of market participants, in some regions of the world V2G may become an element of distributed power in the very near future, so charging stations of this type have great export potential, - said Alexey Motorenko, CEO of Yablochkov. |
