2021: Raising funding for the development of Aurora OS

On January 19, 2021, it became known about the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Science to allocate 118.4 billion rubles from the federal budget for the digital transformation of several departments and government services. In particular, the ministry requests 78.6 billion rubles to finalize services of public services, 37 billion rubles to "ensure the reliability of the functioning" of this system and 2 billion rubles to "reduce the costs of public administration." 2020: The start of production of tablets on the Aurora OS

On July 2, 2020, it became known that Aquarius Production Company LLC and Byte Erg LLC had begun production of tablets for the All-Russian Population Census under contracts with Rostelecom. The total production volume is 360 thousand devices with a pre-installed domestic mobile operating system "Aurora."

According to the company, all census takers will be equipped with hardware and software complexes with the Aurora operating system (OS). The hardware and software complex includes a tablet with a FullHD display with a diagonal of 10.1 inches, an external battery, which will provide autonomous operation for several days, as well as a charger, a protective case, a stylus and two memory cards.
