Aquilion ONE/PRISM Edition (spectral KT-scanner)

At the beginning of December, 2019 the Canon Medical company provided a new system for spectral KT which uses deep learning for quality improvement of images.

In the Aquilion ONE/PRISM Edition model Clear IQ (AiCE) improved by software on the basis of AI with opportunities of deep learning according to the images received during spectral KT will be used. This software should create the optimized images with more natural texture.

Though spectral visualization is presented at the market by KT several years, it began to gain steam when it became clear that it can be used successfully at diagnosis of cancer and cardiovascular statuses. However tools of spectral KT are still used only by a neolshy customer group. The senior marketing manager of technological solutions in Canon Medical Druv Mehta (Dhruv Mehta) noted that Canon decided to use new approach and added the system with artificial intelligence to present the solution for spectral KT which clients will be able regularly to use.

The Aquilion ONE/PRISM Edition system works differently, - he added. - AI allows to use all systems capabilities in achievement of a high image quality and decrease in a dose of radiation and also provides smooth integration of a system into workflow.

A system is supplied with the tablet with the touch screen which can be used by the radiologist for control of inspection. The company also announced that it is going to integrate AiCE technology into other scanners, having created a new portfolio of offers.^[1]
