100 rubles for a tablet. FAS set a limit of the price of drugs for a coronavirus

On October 16, 2020 the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) set the marginal selling price of drugs for treatment of a coronavirus of COVID-19 on the basis of a favipiravir. It will make 100 rubles for a tablet or 5500 rubles for packaging. Read more here.

Receipt in drugstores

The Russian medicine from a coronavirus of COVID-19 "Areplivir" came to drugstores. The cost of medicine is 12,320 rubles for packaging, it can be purchased according to the recipe. It became known on September 21, 2020.

Areplivir in the Moscow drugstores of RIA Novosti told about emergence in the help organization "Stolichki". According to the call center operator, medicine is available in drugstores at the Bratislava metro station.

The chairman of Board of Directors of developer company of the medicine "Promomed" Pyotr Beliy claims that Areplivir is the cheapest medicine in the world, "which saves lives".

According to him, for the history of use of medicine there was no person who "got on the medical ventilator".

The Russian coronavirus medicine Areplivir came to drugstores

The Russian Ministry of Health was allowed earlier by Areplivir and also other coronavirus medicine Koronavir before sale in drugstores. Koronavir will cost about 11,550 rubles. Antiviral medicine favipiravir which is used for treatment of a coronavirus will be included in the list of vital major medicines in the nearest future. On September 19, 2020 the Assistant Secretary of health care of Russia Alexey Kuznetsov reported about it. After that ceiling prices for medicine will be registered, he added.

The member of the committee of the State Duma on health protection Tatyana Solomatina in the comment to "The parliamentary newspaper" said that the price of medicine from a coronavirus is very high for the population bulk therefore the state should compensate it to citizens on condition of the made diagnosis and if need for hospitalization is absent.

The director of the National medical research center of V.A. Almazov academician of RAS Evgeny Shlyakhto told "The parliamentary newspaper" that the vaccine against a coronavirus can become public in few months.[1]

Medicine approval by the Russian Ministry of Health

On June 25, 2020 the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation announced approval of the medicine "Areplivir" intended for fight against COVID-19 coronavirus. Medicine will be produced at the Biokhimik enterprise in Saransk.

By June 26, 2020 Areplivir is at a stage of completion of clinical trials in which 210 patients with the confirmed koronavirusny infection undergoing treatment in medical institutions of Saransk, Moscow, St. Petersburg voluntarily participate.

In Mordovia the Biokhimik plant is ready to begin large-scale production of the medicine "Areplivir" which the Russian Ministry of Health approved for treatment of a koronavirusny infection

Based on the third phase of clinical trials the efficiency of medicine is estimated more than at 90%. According to creators of medicine, disease duration at its application in comparison with a check group of patients decreases from nine to four days. In biological tests of 70% of the patients accepting Areplivir for the fourth day the absence of a virus is fixed.

Also important result of clinical trials — absence at Areplivir of earlier not registered ghost effects, the producer states. Doctors recommend to appoint Areplivir to patients with an average and easy form of a course of disease in the first 48 hours of treatment.

Basis of Areplivir is the same active ingredient (favipiravir), as at  the first  medicine approved by the Ministry of Health — Avifavira. Favipiravir  is present  at protocols of treatment COVID-19 provided by the time recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health about treatment, diagnostics and prevention of a new koronavirusny infection. For treatment of medium-weight and severe forms of a disease are used, in addition to a favipiravir, hydroxychloroquine and meflokhin with azitromitsiny, lopinavir + ritonavir with interferon. 


"Biochemist" says that the plant can produce up to 1 million packagings of medicine a month that "cover all requirements of the Russian medical institutions for this medicine".[2]
