ArubaOS-CX is the operating system for switches.

2019: ArubaOS-CX 10.4

On October 25, 2019 the Aruba company provided upgraded version of the software meeting requirements of modern corporate network and the Data Processing Center (DPC).

According to the developer, upgraded version operating system of AOS-CX offers expansion of functionality, showing distinctive features of AOS-CX at the level access. To them Aruba Dynamic Segmentation for providing security and the politician in the wired and wireless networks for each user and the device IoT, Ethernet VPN (EVPN) of over VxLAN for simple and safe connections to DPC of the enterprise and also automatic updates of Virtual Switching Extension (VSX) treat without idle times during service cycles.

2017: ArubaOS-CX OS output to the market

On September 12, 2017 the Aruba Networks company announced an output to the market of OS for switches of a line 8400 - ArubaOS-CX.

It is developed taking into account requirements of mobility, cloud environments and Internet of Things.

Key properties

• The automated monitoring of early detection:
  • Aruba Network Analytics Engine allows IT specialists to keep track of the network, system, applied and connected with security activities by means of monitoring on the basis of rules and automatic correlation of network activities. This mechanism is delivered with an embedded database of time series in combination with correlation of events that allows operators to detect problems and to analyze trends to obtain analytical data, to predict or prevent the problems caused by bottlenecks of performance, security and scalability.

• The accelerated troubleshooting using data on network:
  • when using outdated switches IT specialists should not only debug after their detection, but also use for this purpose traditional tools, such as CLI or SNMP that can be very expensive action for business. Aruba 8400 the politician allows to solve these problems with instruments of monitoring of network, performance and security quickly by means of programmable OS and intellectual integration at a basis.

• The simplified programming for scaling:
  • the Aruba switches of series 8400 are completely programmed with the built-in Python and REST API interpreter for any functionality of the switch. It provides integration with infrastructure and applications, including the Aruba Mobile First platform, for end-to-end monitoring of network, detection, troubleshooting and continuous control of providing network performance or problem solving of security.
