On March 6, 2023, it became known that the scientific and production special company Sturm - Equipment and Equipment is developing a two-way camouflage kit for the Russian army, one of the sides of which is intended for the Far North and the other for the Middle Strip.

As the general director of the enterprise Vladimir Drobyak told RIA Novosti, this is the fourth version of camouflage developed within the company's walls - earlier in Sturm, three versions of sets of camouflage suits of different zonal colors were invented. The new product will have to undergo state tests.

Drobyak explained that due to the presence in Russia of the "widest range" of natural and climatic zones, it is impossible to create a single disguise of military personnel, so Sturm made a non-standard solution - he made a suit, each of the sides of which is painted differently. At the same time, both the "face" and the "underbelly" disguises function the same way, he added.

The agency recalls that the company "Sturm - equipment and equipment" was created in 2001 in the city of Beloomut (Moscow region). One of the main areas of the enterprise's work is the development of masking complexes for military personnel, one of which is 6Sh122. Since 2014, he has been entering the Russian Armed Forces as part of the equipment of the soldier of the future "Warrior." In addition, four types of body armor developed by the company are on the supply of domestic law enforcement agencies, including assault units.

The company's website mentions a camouflage suit SMK-2 for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is designed to hide personnel and equipment from photographic, television, optical-electronic, visual-optical and ultraviolet reconnaissance equipment.^[1]
